From the Leader in Recreational Safety Education
Kalkomey Enterprises is dedicated to providing state-specific printed and online educational products for use by the state agencies responsible for recreational safety education. Each state has a unique group of outdoor recreation enthusiasts, so Kalkomey Enterprises doesn't have a “one size fits all” approach. Each state's course and/or handbook has been developed in close collaboration with the state agency responsible for education and safety certification.
What's Your Sport?
Kalkomey Enterprises Brings You Boat Ed, Today's Hunter and More!
Boat Ed—As the official provider of print, video, and Internet boating safety courses for more than 40 states, Boat Ed is the recognized leader in the development of boating safety education materials. All of Boat Ed’s materials are NASBLA-approved and exceed NASBLA standards.
Today’s Hunter—
Since 2002, Today’s Hunter has been selected by more than 20 state agencies
as their official hunter education course. Kalkomey Enterprises’ focus on quality
is evident in every detail—from the handsome watercolor illustrations to the precise and comprehensive animations about operating firearms which are used in instructor PowerPoint presentations and online courses. All hunter education
materials are supplemented by detailed national and regional wildlife guides.
Today’s Bowhunter—
In 2003, Kalkomey Enterprises was chosen by the National Bowhunter Education Foundation to develop a national bowhunter education course. Later, the partners developed Today’s Crossbow and the 3-in-1 Responsibility Guide to provide more in-depth information on bowhunting topics. The Today’s Hunter and Today’s Bowhunter instructional content meets or exceeds all standards of the International Hunter Education Association.
Offroad Ed (website soon to be launched)—
Another new educational focus is on off-road vehicle safety instruction. Some states have chosen to develop separate courses and handbooks for safe all-terrain vehicle, off-highway motorcycle, and snowmobile operation. Other states have decided to consolidate all three types of off-road safety education in a single publication.
