The Snowmobile Community
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) provides coordination, enforcement, and training for snowmobilers. With the hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails located throughout the state, the DNR also depends on help from many volunteers and snowmobile clubs. These persons:
- Volunteer their services as instructors and teach the Hands-On Snowmobile Safety Training Class that is required for youth under 16 years of age.
- Develop, map, and maintain public and private trails.
- Donate materials for building bridges.
- Donate equipment for working on trails.
For more information on snowmobile clubs, visit the Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association (MnUSA) website.
